What’s the fun of pomegranates?
Haven’t you walked about the supermarket these days, seen those pink-red pomegranates, then felt like giving them a try? Isn’t there the whole craze over pomegranates nowadays? Pomegranate juice, yoghurt, yakult, salads.. everything..

It squirts and stains when you try to separate the pulpy seeds from the pith! Thank goodness I had an apron.. like some kitchen ah ma like that.. Oh but I must say that a single pomegranate has enough pulps to fill more than a chinese rice bowl! Quite cool.. But there’s so many of them to separate and there are many ‘compartments’ of piths you need to dig out!
Oh the worst part is: Each pulpy things has an inedible seed in them.. Can you imagine spitting every seed out?? And there’s like how many to finish up? For someone like me who eats loads of fruits, how in the world do u enjoy that! Sigh.. The really really nice, deep, rosy red colour cannot make up for that man!
Haha.. did it once; never again in the near future.. It’s a real mess to prepare, and eat.. I’d rather buy the bottle of juice! Cheaper somemore eh! One pomegranate which is a pain to seed AND to eat costs you $2; a bottle of juice is like $1! Which is the better deal man! Hah! (:
Moral of the story, don’t try to join in the pomegranate craze. Serious!
I still have one more in the fridge I’m too lazy to cut open..
so interesting tt I was just thinking about that. Pomegranates are the best fruits ever. =)
