Yes Yes Yes!!!!! (: (:
I finally bought myself a camera!! Haha.. calls for celebration! I’m finally willing and able to get one! Just the same day I got my pay cheque! Canon IXUS 70. OUCH OUCH OUCH!!! That’s more than half my cheque…
Sigh.. what to do? Haha.. been wanting and procrastinating for more than 1.5 yrs now… Haha.. On a more serious note, trust me on this, you will never ever feel the pinch of what you are spending (esp if it’s a big proportion) till you start earning your own income and what you put on your plate tomorrow, where you decide to study depends on it! Can you imagine a lady struggling to provide $1 of pocket money for her kid in sch, while the other lady living under the same roof throws hundreds into CNY potted plants just to fill the balcony? I don’t get it - not yet at least.
Anyway, it’s good that now I get to take good and better shots of my crazy food journeys (and some kitchen explorations too!)!! See! NOW I CAN ADD SOME REAL PICTURES TO MY CANNOT-MAKE-IT ATTEMPT TO DESCRIBE THE GOOD EATS!!!So, I’m happy, though pained! Haha. So today being Wednesday, guess where I went for a good morning read and caffeine sipping! (:
Good Morning Nanyang Cafe
Okay.. I’m probably over-rating this place… But I just love it, such nice, simple ambience…
A nice thick-enough Teh C Kosong
Orange Ciabatta Toast
I was reading Romans today; I think I never put in effort to read it in sequence which just makes so much more sense! So, Paul talks about Man’s sinful nature.. But, was this sinful nature present from the beginning even before Eve took the fruit? Hmm.. Just a thought..
Anyway, then I walked over to People’s Park Complex after about 2 hours… Dessert Hut. There. I recommend Yin Yang (Sesame + Almond Paste!!). The Guilin Gao so-so only!
It was then time for some… POPIAH! Hah.. so I headed over to Shaw towers, not too far off! What a pleasant day! (: Qi Ji (last post)! The popiah has got to be one of the best! It’s huge, I mean LONG! Unlike the Coronation one, which is a miserable 4-sliced soggy pillow.. Taste-wise, excellent. Texture, has got a nice crunch without using crushed peanuts as in the usual! I think they use … fried flour? I don’t know man! I’m guessing! Shall try frying flour one day.. Haha.. sounds silly! Skin, good, does not sog and tear. Joel says we can order their skin!! Ahh.. time for Popiah party CAROL!!
Qi Ji - Shaw Towers (Near Bugis)
"Sugarless" Chrys Tea, Popiah - Long enough for 6 slices!!!! (: (:
What a nice day! I’m looking forward to next wednesday! (: But you know ah… I’m too much of a shopper…
Thank God I only have ONE free day, cos I just keep buying stuff.. Camera, bag, etc… goodness me, terrible lifestyle. Shld stop spending more than I can. Very soon, my plan to go Sydney will be crushed, my plan to use my income for ministry’s sake will crushed. I better shelf my plan to go HK in June! Denise! Tell me what to do!!!
Haha.. ",
Haha I also ate popiah and drank sugarless chrysanthemum tea! and i tried the mee siam - quite delish also but the yam cake cannot make it
Yay! pp party? when?
